Actually, the aforementioned apostle DID remain seated throughout the intermediate hymn (while the congregation stood), and then afterward made the comment to the congregation. He also made a beeline for the conductor to assuage any hurt feelings.

Huge problem... If we stand up the children are more likely to slip between the legs of their parents and on to the rostrum... And by the looks of things over on CB that would be the end of it for some people...

It certainly is one of the sillier things someone's found to bitch about, then again this is Cougarguard where bitching about the church and church experiences ad nauseum are the norm, not the exception.

We have standing rest hymns every week. I think it is fantastic...we even have a few protestors with bad knees that don't stand...makes for great ward controversy.

Having bad knees must suck. A condition where it hurts to stand up or sit down? I do that about 400 times a day.
