Saw Wilco last night...
They put on a great show. I was sitting very close to the back row on the balcony, so I couldnt' get the shots I wanted. Had I been closer, I probably would have been noticed and prevented from shooting. They allowed photography, but not "professional photography." I came to find out that meant "no telephoto lenses". They are great musicians and worth $30 fo sho. As an aside, I was with a couple of friends eating in a mexican restaraunt before the show. I got up to go to the bathroom. I open up the door and a woman screams. She is old, and she is wiping her ass. I jump about a foot in the air, and shut the door. I wasn't expecting to open the door to the men's restroom and see an old woman wiping her ass. So I get back to the table and tell my friends, and my friend says "that's funny. when I was just walking out of the restroom there were two old women and I heard one of them ask the other if she ought just use the men's restroom." Karma, b*&ch. We don't use your restooms, you don't use ours. Later, when I was in line to pick up my ticket, I feel a tug on my shirt, and its one of the laurels from my ward. Made me feel like the old geezer trying desperately to be cool. |

I should also mention that Wilco has a new guitarist since a Ghost is Born came out. He brings serious chops to the table. So expect to hear some actual guitar solos in their next album.

Wilco is amazing. Was sad to miss the show. Who opened for them?

Handshake Drugs probably makes my top 10 of the last five years.
