Millions
Anyone seen "Millions"?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366777/ We watched it last night as a family and really enjoyed it. It is a British movie about a pair of brothers who find a bag full of cash. They keep it a secret from dad (mother recently died) and the younger brother keeps trying to give it away to the poor while the older brother pursues more worldly things and keeps having to cover the younger boys tracks. Excellent family movie and the actor playing the young brother steals the show. Suprisingly, the movie covers a lot of religous themes as the younger brother sincerely tries to do what he believes God would want him to do. He also has an obsession with saints and has visits from lots of saints, including St. Peter, Joseph, and the martyrs of Uganda. An extra bonus is that there are three Mormons living in the neighborhood. They are supposed to look like missionaries, but they end up being a bit of a caricature, but it is not offensive and it is fun to see how they are worked in to the plot. Highly recommended.

Have you seen the trailer for the new movie on Idi Amin? It looks chilling.
It's entitled, the "King of Scottland".

Great work by Danny Boyle
very fun movie
Heard an interview on NPR with him, he said he was poking fun at the Mormons but wasn't trying to be offensive or cruel about it. |

Maybe it was a bad night or something but we rented this a while back and only watched about half of it because we thought it was so slow / lame.
