Once again, Obama shows that he's an elitist bastard.

Seriously. I wish he would only appoint stupid people. Where does he get off asking smart, educated people to run things?

I didn't read the entire article, but it sounds like she has little court experience.

Cool. The head person has no experience. At least she paid her taxes.

Stupid people are a bit more grounded in reality.

Just what we need another, intelligent, but arrogant, inexperienced law professor pontificating on the law. I always love those asshole types who've never been in the trenches.

Political appointees, and she's also considered for a seat on the SCOTUS, wtf.

Kagan has never argued before the Supreme Court and her overall courtroom experience is very limited. Republicans on the committee questioned whether she had the background for someone responsible for arguing on behalf of the government in front of the Court.
Real lawyers wouldn't suffer such an appointment.

Is it that she's a lesbian that's really bothering you?

Relax. She is clearly extraordinarily bright. Magna Cum Laude from Harvard. Princeton degree. Oxford degree. Associate at perhaps the top litigating law firm in the US. Supreme Court law clerk. Associate counsel to the President of the United States. Dean of Harvard Law School.

Are you kidding me? That is about as impressive as it gets.

Apparently, this could be a showcase for her appointment to the SCOTUS. If that's the case, could one of her supporters here please explain how she is qualified if she's never sat on the bench at any level of court? Or am I mistaken and she does have experience as a judge?

In the world I'm a part of, a person is only qualified for a position of importance if that person has actual experience of doing whatever it is the position requires. Is this not the case in the legal world?
