Default Is this what socialized healthcare is like?

Made a doctors appointment for my daughter to get a checkup and some shots, they cant get her in until November 7th.

This is what medicine is like, period.

Try finding a psychiatrist that takes insurance, and can see you in the next 2 months.

Honestly, socialized health care would probably be better than our current system for check-ups, immunizations, and other preventive care.

But it would be terrible for older people with cancer and heart disease. A socialized system has huge incentives to postpone treatment of these diseases as long as possible because if people die without treatment they end up not costing the system very much money. And modern therapy for these serious health problems is extremely expensive.
