Default Where in the US if Barney?

As in Barney Frank? Chairman of the Finance Services committe for the past 2 years and influential member since he's been in congress. Here's just a sampling of what he has said and been doing:

"July 2003, Freddie Mac's multibillion-dollar accounting scandal broke into the open. But Mr. Frank was sanguine. "I do not think we are facing any kind of a crisis," he said at the time.

Three months later he repeated the claim that Fannie and Freddie posed no "threat to the Treasury." Even suggesting that heresy, he added, could become "a self-fulfilling prophecy."

In April 2004, Fannie announced a multibillion-dollar financial "misstatement" of its own. Mr. Frank was back for the defense. Fannie and Freddie posed no risk to taxpayers, he said, adding that "I think Wall Street will get over it" if the two collapsed.

Then in July of this year:

“Of the problems that were created by the reckless deregulation that led to the subprime crisis and the neglect of affordable housing that has marked Republican rule in Congress, this package of measures is the best response we could make. It cannot solve all of these deep rooted problems immediately but the bill does represent a mutually reinforcing set of approaches that will begin to diminish the problem,” said House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-MA). “This will begin to lay the groundwork for a turnaround in the housing market and hopefully in the broader economy as well.”

Geez, I wonder why the dems and liberals have tucked him away somewhere?

You've plagiarized your post. I may have to suspend you in the future if you continue to post copyrighted material as if it is your own words. We all know that you aren't that smart and literate, so you can't fake it.

of what he SAID; is what he said. So I forgot the first quotation marks. Dork and moron? Wow!

Compared to using personal information gathered from a charitable event, in a moment of anger, that's much worse than forgetting some quotation marks...........don't ya think?

Does this quote come to mind at all: """"""""""""""""""""absolute power corrupts absolutely""""""""""""""

LOL

That's funny, and it reminds me of my grade school days of writing reports by dumbing down the text of Golden Book Encyclopedias (the ones Mom bought at the grocery store). I got really good at masking, a lesson exie apparently learned.

Talk about getting your panties in a wad. You and MW are missing the entire story here because of ONE quotation mark.

I've heard of people not being able to see for the forest for the trees. But not being able to see the tree for the rings in the tree. I like that one.

My mom bought the red ones. World Bbook somethign or another. I was excited about it until I realized just how boring they were. I remember announcing at the beginning that I was going to read the entire encylopedia. I recevied much congratulations from my adoring family. The rality was not nearly as enjoyable. I don't think I made it past "Aardvark" before the siren call of Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd and their always intrigunig and never-ending confrontation overwhlemed me.
