Ha! Take that, Al Gore!

Next thing you know John will fix global warming, win a couple of Oscars and a Nobel, then go on a book tour talking about how he's really really not bitter that he lost the election. Really.

Where does he imply that McCain invented the Blackberry?

I don't think he did either. It looks to me like a lot of Gore-ites have been smarting for a long time about Al's "I invented the itnernet" stuiff and were just dying to pin this sort of thing on someone else. Besides, McCain didn't even say it.

Yes, looks like a very weak form of payback by distorting his advisor's comment (which admittedly wasn't very helpful).

I expect to see an outraged Cali and Barbara appear here any minute.

Let's summarize:

Several conservative columnists come out in opposition to Palin, and note that the selection of Palin reflects very poorly on McCain himself and on his judgment (or lack thereof)

One of McCain's top advisors implies that McCain invented the Blackberry

McCain's top economic advisor flatly states that Palin is not qualified to run HP

McCain's top economic advisor, in an attempt to correct the record, later notes that it isn't a big deal, because she doesn't think McCain could run HP either (or Obama or Biden, but we assume she already thinks Obama and Biden can't do it)

McCain suggests that the "fundamentals of the economy are strong." He later tries to clarify by saying he meant the American worker is strong, but nobody believes him.

McCain says part of the answer to the economic crisis is to form a 9/11 type commission. It sounds shallow and superficial.

McCain v.2008 then says regulation is the answer, once again turning on McCain v.2000.

Palin is nowhere to be found, and isn't included on McCain's commercials of late (possibly due to her 10 point favorability drop in a 3 day period, or due to the fact that she has no idea what people are talking about with the economy).

Nice.
McCain claims tax cuts increase tax revenue.

McCain's top economic adviser says he doesn't really mean that.

McCain's other economic adviser invented that stinkin' theory.

Yeah, I'd say McCain's a little clueless on the economy.

If McCain invented it, wouldn't it have been called the Prickly Pear?

Given his age, perhaps McCain invented the steam engine?

So you think that says "John McCain inventeed the blackberry?" If so, I am sure anyone reading can draw their own conclusion.

While a silly statement, perhaps, it is not nearly as silly as the contention that he was saying that McCain invented the blackberry.
