After a 30 year hiatus, the march towards socialism is gonna take a big step forward. McCain will be the nominee and he will get beat badly in November. Many conservatives will sit this election out and Dems will make huge gains in congress, they may get a 60 senate seats giving themselves a fillibuster proof majority. We'll be speeding down that road to serfdom in no time.
I'm depressed.

If McCain will get creamed why does everyone presume it would have been different with Romney? He just got waxed by McCain. If the dems win in a landslide we can thang GWB. The "experts" are saying McCain is more electable. Republicans do seem to have a genius for settling on the most electable candidate, something dems have lacked.

The GOP had their chance to lead. The American people gave them the Senate, House, and White House. And having looked at the results, now think "hmm, time to give the other team a chance." Bush really destroyed the GOP.
Now we are to 2008, and the GOP is the entrenched stodgy party guarding the status quo (each candidate claiming the mantle of a long-gone Reagan). And the party of hope, in America, is no longer the GOP. This link was emailed to me by a friend (white, female, non-Mormon). http://www.dipdive.com/ The party of "100 years in Iraq"--I just can't see Americans going for it this time. |
