Default Film on black mormons

This looks interesting:

The Jane Manning James story is an interesting one. It is featured in the "Black and Mormon" book that is the current CG "book-of-the-month" (anyone reading it besides me?). She begged and begged the church leaders to let her go to the temple in the late 1800's. Eventually they let her get sealed to JS, but only as a "servant". Ouch.

Young said the issues of bigotry and racial prejudices are still alive today, although black LDS men have been receiving the priesthood since 1978. Just this month, members of a congregation in Louisiana asked that black members attend another ward, Gray said.
How come this doesn't surprise me?

Louisiana is a disgrace in every possible way.
