Default SLC vs. Boise: Cosmopolitan

Is this guy is on crack or is it just me?

Boise feels like it's smaller than Provo-Orem Utah county area.

I think Boise only has like 200k people. Downtown, downtown Boise is kinda cool and it does have a little cosmo feel with HP, BC and Micron there and lots of former Californians. But, no, it's not more cosmopolitan than SLC.

Having lived in Boise and spent many, many days in SLC I would say that SLC in more cosmopolitan but Boise is a much better place to live.

I bet Boise has more Fortune 500 companies headquartered there. Let's see, there's Simplot, Micron Technology, and Boise Cascade. I know M-K used to be one. Am I missing any? How many in Salt Lake?

I'd hate to be in a position of making a case for Salt Lake being more cosmopolitan than most any place of any size.

I'm surprised you would say this. No place has a higher concentration of Mormon-haters than SLC.

What about Albertons, I thought they were in Boise too?

When I was there last summer, I was surprised at how many telecommuters I met - guys who worked for Co.’s in the Bay Area (in finance and IT) but lived in Boise.
