Default Mormon Theocracy?

Do you wish Brigham Young had been successful in establishing a permanent Mormon theocracy in the intermountain west?

I kind of wish it had succeeded, just so we could know how things turned out. I'm sure we'd still be practicing polygamy.

Why did God inspire prophets to create a theocracy if it was doomed to fail? Or was the theocracy not an inspired concept? We Mormons would have built the first religious+socialistic nation on Earth.

You can look to the Taliban or Iran as how it might have turned out.

A theocracy in Utah, with Utah as a sovereign nation would be sweet. BYU would have been national champions this past season and Utah Mormons haters like FMCoug would be socially ostracized for hating those of other nationalities.

so what we are having instead?? "unfaithfulness" "disloyalty" and "adultery" which are probably okay compared to polygamy!
Islam unlike mormonism (at least what i have been gathering ) doesnot insert polygamy in its doctrine ,nor advocating it as a rewarding prinicpal.

the philosophy of mentioning polygamy in islam is ,to make sure that the religion is feasibly achievable in any time and place.

here is an example when islam would allow people to live polygamy.

imagine a happily married couple faced a horrible accident ,which lead to sever physical damages in the women so she is going to have to be looked after for the rest of her life.

so there are some possibilities for the man future life..

1) the man would go for divorce process while employing a medical caretaker, paying for the health care bill.. etc, which might be seem fair.
but what if its not what the man wants to do wholeheartedly and that the emotinal wouldnot let him have a happy life abandoning his ill wife.

2)here is the second option ...the man is going to enjoy his own life seeking to satisfy his physical and psycological desires here and there still married.(which is might be considered the first and only option for many people)

3)the third possiblity ..the man is willingly going to sacrifice himself, spending the whole life changing diaper and making soup .(which is highly recommended)!!
there are great men and women who would sacrifice their life for thier beloved one and feel rewarded .so no big deal.

but what if the man cannot just live alone and inclines to have a normal life while taking care of his suffering wife.

here where Islam offers a way which the man could follow "going through a second marriage " in which , his sick wife have to be asked for permission at the very first step and he would have to express love give care and pay life expenses completely equal to his both wives ..

needless to say that iam not talking about inferior muslims who are practicing polygamy just becuase they are obsessed about intimacy rather what really Islam has to say in polygamy in aforementioned case.

You are totally and completely wrong in nearly every respect.

Now Islam is a big enough religion that I'm sure if you looked hard enough long enough you would find some Muslim that agreed with you. But the 99.99% of Muslims would not.
Mindful is a great expert in Islam as it is practiced in the heart of Iran. I'd suggest deferring to her in some respects. Islam is almost as diverse as Christianity is, I'd wager.
