I may do push-ups but I don't run or lift weights.

I never run marathons on Sunday.

Sunday is for eating dessert not exercising. I work out 6 days week and always take Sunday off. Maybe if I didn't eat so much dessert on Sunday I could take more days off during the week.

Would it be ok to exercise on Sunday if one listens to the audio of the Book of Mormon on the iPod?

If you spend your Sundays reading the scriptures, visiting the sick and spending wholesome time with the family then you are doing great and problely shouldn't be exercising. If you are going to be sitting on your butt watching TV while the wife and kids are doing their things then you might as well do something good for your body and go out and bike or run.

I've posted about this before on CB. I do a fairly long run on Sunday morning, before the wife and kids get up. I will usually listen to MoTab (which I usually can't stand) or other inspirational music, and run along a Parkway near my house. It's actually a very spiritual experience. I feel closer to God at that time than at any other time during the week.

The other benefit is that I'm still on a runner's high when we get to church, so I'm not as annoyed by people in my ward as I would otherwise be.

I would be fine with that (for me personally, I am not passing judgment on the practices of others), but I don't think I would feel good about going to the gym. Really though, I need a day off to motivate me to get up and do it again and Sunday is a great day for that.

I've never been able to get comfortable working out on Sundays...

Sometimes I'll go for a walk w/ Mrs. Hippie but it's certainly not a workout.

CardiacCoug and I always had an evening pickup basketball game in our driveway on Sundays. We even got the Stake President's and Bishop's kids involved.
