Mental exercises
What mental exercises do you engage at Church to stimulate you?
If I'm teaching children, that helps as I enjoy watching them learn. They often engage the teacher and make it an enjoyable experience. I have long learned Church is not where one should expect to experience active, academic learning but it should be a revelatory, in a communal sense, process. Sometimes the lack of preparation makes the communal revelatory process less than what it could be. In such instances, other than sacramental purposes, what do you do to occupy your minds?
