My wife and I were laughing at his entire talk. I totally lost respect for the guy.
Did he go to the Paul Dunn school of speaking or something?

The story about the little girl that saves all her money for a bike. She has some measley little amount like $5 or something and then when her and her dad go to look at bikes she sees how much the cost, breaks down and cries and her dad says that because she did her best he'll make up the rest and buy her the bike.

Name dropping from the pulpit.

I could do without that...and that's about it. Also, speaking twice in one month...

Could use what would he do for any position you choose to take. Joseph Fielding McConkie said that in book he wrote and other book said someone that refused baptism and didn't pray or keep sunday holy wasn't a very christlike man.

easy would be worth it. The morbid stories in especially for mormons the guy that save train instead of son no one realizes it. Someoen that dies saving family and teenage grandchildren don't appreciat it or son gets killed hunting and they can't find culprit he feels bad anyway so good thing you didn't find him. Someone dies because of gossip.

Cipher in the snow. Many morbid stories to get a point across with no real meaning. BRM said you don't teach the gospel with stories.

And for morbid stories one of the biggest misconceptions is tears and spirit go together. Thats not true I felt spirit without crying many times. Some may do but tears are an imitation of spirit. MOrbid and silly stories I'll survive without the twinkies and do fine.
This post is awesome.

Sometimes I do that just to see who gets really mad.

(note: Lingo was never an AP.)
