I'd like to add "the parable of the bicycle" to that list. How many times have we all heard that, and yet someone inevitably gets up and quotes it again like it's new material.

The Robert Frost poem "The Road not Taken" or whatever it's called, also WAY overused.

A member of our stake's high counsel not named Stephen Robinson told the bike story as if it was his daughter that was buying the bike. I kept waiting for him to reference Robinson's book but it never happened. The guy tried to pass it off as his own!

My wife and I were laughing at his entire talk. I totally lost respect for the guy.
