MikeWaters is an unknown quantity at this point
Default SLC ranked 2nd in volunteering

http://www.nationalservice.gov/about...ing/cities.asp
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/...r-cities_N.htm

However 56.9% is for religious causes.

Ranks in volunteering and what % is for religious causes
1) Minneapolis - St. Paul 36.0%
2) SLC 56.9%
3) Austin 28.3%
4) Omaha, NE 38.5%
5) Seattle 31.4%

Las Vegas was ranked dead last.
Dallas is ranked 20th, and is 40.1% religious

So if you throw out service which is specific to only Mormons serving Mormons in the context of official activities and callings, what is the service rate?

Also is their a correlation between % religious service and the amount served?

For example, the southern city with the highest volunteer rate is notoriously liberal (Austin, TX). As are Portland and Seattle.

Midwest comes out the best in the survey.

Would be fun to play with the % religious stat and see where it would take you.
