I've hardly seen any movies nominated this year.

I've seen:

The Departed - Many nominations
Monster House - Best Animated Feature
The Black Dahlia - Cinematography
United 93 - Directing
Click - Makeup. LOL
Pirates of the Carribean 2 - Sound and effects
Poseidon - Visual Effects
Superman Returns - Visual Effects

My guess is Babel will be this year's Crash thus having the most overated film of the year win...then again I haven't seen Babel.

Babel sucks in my honest opinion. But I have already posted my review. I just don't understand the hype when it is so similar in my estimation to Crash.

I also didn't care much for The Departed. The last 5 minutes was absolutely ridiculous.

Well if Pan's Labryinth is on there then they lose all credibility.

I've posted this before and will post it again:

The Academy lost all credibility when it completely ignored Strange Brew.

Screw the Oscars. Those dolts wouldn't know brilliance if it kicked them in the keister.

They also lost all credibility when they chose Shakespeare in Love or Saving Private Ryan. I'd thought the same people who threw the Duke/UNLV championshp game in the early 90's were the same bookies who bet on this.
