Partly so that I could finally post under this topic.

Dusted off the bikes and took the kids up to Bridal Veil Falls. Lovely morning.

But I need to get a new seat. My crotch is killing me and I am starting to wonder if the Big Lebowski will ever stand at attention again. Ouch.

what kind of bike? what kind of seat?

and what were you wearing (bike shorts? what kind?)

now matter how good the equipment, you still need to give your muscles down there sometime to adjust.

Just an old POS mountain bike that we have kicking around. Nothing that I would do any serious or routine biking on. I am going mountain biking with my son on a scout campout in a couple of weeks. We figured it would be good to get a little practice in. But I need to buy one of those seats with a crotch notch or whatever it's called.

But I must admit, we had a great time. I may have to invest in a decent bike.
