Default I guess it's time to get those assault weapons

My brother ordered an AR-15 kit from these guys and built his own for around $700. He saved about $500 going this route and it's a pretty nice rifle.

I've ordered mine, I'll let you folks know how it goes.

AR availability is at an all-time low. 6 month waiting lists. Prices up 30-40%.

When you buy a complete rifle, this is a special tax that is levied. If you buy parts and make it yourself, then you avoid this tax.

You better get the stamp of approval from Cali before you do this. I'd hate for him to demonstrate the same disdain toward you as he does others who support the 2nd Amendment.

When you are an old man Venkman, all your grandchildren and their friends (slaves to the state all) will gather round as you pull our your AR, and they will OOOOOO and AHHHHHH, as they look at a priceless piece of history, the opportunity to own themselves long past and never to be seen, short of war and rebellion.

"Grandpa, how come we can't buy new ones of these anymore."

"Because only the soldiers and robots can use them."

"That's not true. The people who robbed and killed Uncle Mack and Aunt Jill used them."

"Yes, criminals, soldiers, and robots use them."

"But we can't?"

"No, we are the meat, and they are the meat-eaters."

Of course, this conversation will be in a mixture of Chinese and Russian and Spanish, the only language that these tykes will know.

And no sales tax online. But yes, a long wait...at this point, I'm starting to get worried they'll be banned before my order is filled.

The only flaw in your scenario is that there's no way I'd still have the AR. Probably melted down to make the robots. Hell, I'm probably shipped off to some reeducation camp.
