Default Remember when OU vs Nebraska

and OSU vs Michigan were the two biggest games of the year. Oh how the mighty have fallen. I was shocked when I turned on the TV and OU and Nebraska were playing and it was only the first of November. Maybe they have been doing this for a few years but it just didn't look right. Pelini has got a big job to do in Lincoln and Rodriguez is doing a terrible job up at Michigan. I don't care if it is his first year, it's Michigan and I know they have talent on that team.

That first offensive play by Nebraska was so symbolic.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

And this is the improved Nebraska. Considerably improved.

That was perhaps the most unfortunate aspect of the Big 8 expansion: Oklahoma and Nebraska no longer play every year. So we lost our annual Thanksgiving game.

And up til 1995, Oklahoma and Kansas had the longest running continuous series in college football, but that was broken up on account of the expansion, too.
