Default Google Earth and photo sharing

On free days, sometimes I spend hours browsing through this application. People have uploaded over half of a million photos in the included Panoramio, sharing their views with the world. So in addition to zooming in from above, you now have access to photos of those who have been there, each one accurately pinpointed on the map.

You can see the Hawaiian islands from the air, the sea, the coasts, the towns, and the volcanos. This includes the smaller northwestern (Leeward) islands including Kure island, 1200 miles from Kauai.

From the Diomedes where Alaska and Russia are only 2.4 miles apart, there are photos from each coast, looking at the other.

Zoom in on the Lima Peru temple, and see the street photos from those who were there.

The Iditarod Trail in Nome; Stanley the capital of the Falkland Islands; Mount Ararat in Turkey, where Noah's Ark is said to be encased in the ice.
