My latest running mishap
Hi guys. First post.
Yesterday I'm running on my lunch break. The road is kind of busy, so I stay on the sidewalk. I'm enjoying the 50-degree weather, not paying much attention and the next thing I know, I'm slogging through wet cement several inches deep! I apologized to the workers who were eating their lunch nearby. They told me not to worry about it. I think they were more amused than annoyed. I was afraid I'd ruined my shoes, but nine miles later all of the cement had fallen off. I need to pay more attention. |

That's hilarious, I wish I could have seen that. Welcome to the guard.

Ha...nice. You know you're a real runner when your only concern is if your shoes are ok.
I was on a run along a busy street a couple of years ago and stepped in a mud puddle and sank halfway up my calf. I could see people in their cars laughing at me, but I was more pissed that my shoe was covered with mud. |
