Default Saturday's Satellite Broadcast

Anybody else see this? Overall I enjoyed it and thought they had some good things to say. But since this is CG, some thoughts/criticisms:

1. I felt really bad for Elder Packer. He seemed frail/sickly and it was painful to watch.

2. The round table discussion seemed a bit contrived at first but as they got going it was okay.

3. When will the leadership figure out that presenting perfection (or pretty darn close to it) is not always the best way to teach? Stuff like "I never saw my parents disagree on anything the entire time I grew up" or "I am proud to say I never learned anything at church I hadn't already learned in the home" does not resonate with most members. For a lot of people it either makes them feel guilty and that there is no way they can measure up or gives them an excuse to rationalize their failings.

4. It was way too long. For one thing they could have omitted Elder Packers' talk completely.
