LOL. That was funny.

Maybe my memory is faulty, but doesn't just one verse prior to what you quote say "it doth not matter" or some such?

I'm guessing water is just plain easier (and cheaper).

Your cheaper comment reminds me of my thoughts during the sacrament a fews weeks ago (I know, but sometimes my mind wanders--it's that or get ribbed by my wife for nodding off).

I was "pondering" how much the Church spends on sacrament cups in a year. My rough estimates in volume was 100 cups per ward times 20,000 wards or 2,000,000 cups per week. That times 50 (this is a round number, obviously not exact) weeks and that makes 100,000,000 sacrament cups per year. Not a small number.

I didn't get the an estimate on the cost per cup but I did get to thinking of the impact to landfills and also felt good about the fact that the Church is a "cost center" and not a profit center, providing means for the saints to worship...

Then I wondered who had the account to supply the cups to the Church (as well I wondered the same yesterday when a YW in our ward received her YW medallion).

Anyway, sorry for the thread jack.
