Per DJ Ross this nomination was Romney's to lose. He had the most money, started soonest, had a tailor made platform, he's young and vital. He was the bionic conservative. It's a cautionary tale, kind of a Shakespearan tragedy.

The nomination was not Romney's to lose. Was his campaign perfect? Of course not. There were some big mistakes made, imo. However those mistakes pale in comparison to Rudy's and Fred's.
