Hedge funds are going to have a monster year.
I think the market is overreacting to the subprime mortgage issue, making many mortgage backed instruments drop in value to pennies on the dollar. Hedge funds are buying them up right now, and my guess is that in a year or two when the market corrects itself they will make a killing.
