As part of a promotion for the soon to be released "Rock Band" video game, VH1 is doing a countdown this week of the all-time top 10 Rock guitarists, bassists, drummers, and bands. Bassist Geddy Lee was their #3 bassist, and Neal Peart was their #2 drummer. Say what you will about Rush's musical style or taste, but they are undeniably one of the most talented bands in the history of rock and roll.

PS - Alex Lifeson is no slouch on the guitar either.

PPS - Rush will be touring again in 2008!

Since you are allowing me to say what I want, I will say that Rush sucks.

But they served a very important demographic in the 80s....acne-faced, dungeons and dragons playing, black plastic comb carrying nerds.
