One of the YM from my ward gave the youth talk. His talk was about how scouting had helped him develop as a YM, etc.

So he says " I have three goals that I have always wanted to achieve. One, to be an eagle scout. Two, to go on a mission, as a full-time missionary. and my third goal is, if the Lord is willing, to be a bishop."

You should have seen the stake presidency and the seventies faces. The entire audience erupted in laughter.

He went on to describe how he had told his mother at a young age he wanted to be a bishop, and she had told him he had to be a missionary first. And then how he didn't believe her, until he asked one of the missionaries in his ward. He says he thought it was stupid at the time, but now he sees the reason. And that he hopes one day after his mission, to be a bishop.

LOL.

it was great, completely free of guile. It's the first time, I have heard something like that said. From the mouth of babes...
