Sharon, VT:

The memorial is a single piece of 38 1/2 foot granite, believed to be the largest single piece of granite on display, because it is so heavy, normally it is cut into blocks three feet high and then stacked.

The visitor's center; his original home is long gone.

The stone is one of only two that remain from his home, it was the front step. The model home on a stick shows what the 20x24 home looked like ("what is this, a home for ants?"), and that's me!

A chair Joseph made for his mother when he was a boy

This is the same hearth stone that they had in the home, and the elder said at the time they would have placed newborn Joseph on it because it would have been the warmest piece of the home, he was born in December.

Someone tipped me off that they have wax figures there and it's creepy, but sorry, there is just this single bronze bust. Also, this is where President Hinckley broadcast the 200th birthday special from on 12/23/05.
