they were having a baby, there was actually some excitement on BYU sports boards. Not for the USC couple and the child, but the possiblity there would be a famous sports figure who could become LDS.

It was kind of like, yea they committed the nasty one, but if he becomes mormon who cares. A lot of LDS people feel that way. There are probably even a bigger percentage of the "I love the honor code" folks who feel that way than the regular membership.

Of course we are almost a year later and Matt isn't LDS and Brinn's brother Cameron went off to USC. They are now treated on the boards much like the neighbor who after 6 months hasn't joined the church.

That's completely inaccurate. The excitement was when they were dating and before it was known she got knocked up.

The excitement died down really fast once there was a bun in the oven.
