Default Just curious - Ocean water to drinking water

How difficult is the process to take ocean water and turn it into drinking water?

Is it just boiling the water or is there some sort of filter?

this indicates that desalination is a $.53 a cubic meter. Is that 10 times what we pay? Anybody know?
