I've always wondered why nevada/Socal death valley don't have huge solar farms that could power the country

Hopefully in the future they will become much more cost efficient. Its gotta 99% start up capital as the maintenance can't be that much.

My guess is that the hardcore animal rights folks will find a desert tortoise or a bug somewhere out there in the desert and sue to block this from ever happening.
