Mine too. Levi is on the podium unless he really stinks it up. PLus, if he goes crazy and contador or evans fades, he could go to 2nd. A great result for him, and hoepfully a great result for a clean tour in the future.

Gotta give some props to Rabobank and Breukink for doing the right thing.

I have mixed feelings about this. According to some sources Rabbobank has no new information but instead is acting on the same information they had at the start of the tour. Rabbobank says they have learned that Rasmussen was in Italy instead of Mexico when he missed out of comp tests. IF they had that info on July 1, then I give them no props at all. If they learned some of it later, then perhaps they do deserve some praise.

The happiest guy baout all this is probably Moreni, who will not even be discussed now.

Baseball is America's pasttime. Cycling, while getting more popular, is still seen by many as a European sport.

Still, you're correct. Steroids haven't hurt baseball too much, but it has damaged what people think of individual players. Perhaps this will be what happens in cycling as well.

Cycling is in shambles. Hard core fans will continue, but the casual fan, the fans cycling needs to become a relevant sport in America, will walk away until they can clean up the game.

You guys aren't giving these scandals enough weight I think. IMHO this will set back the sport to pre-Lance levels of interest.
You could be right, but I think the truth is in the middle. This sort of thing has happened before in cycling, unfortunately. The Festina affair in 98 was HUGE. Simpson died in the middle of a stage on Mt. Ventoux in '68 (or abour then). We never heard about these events in the USA. The difference now, post Lance,t can be seen by the fact hat Rasmussen's withdrawal is in all sports reports around the country. I certainly agree that this will seriously impair the sport's credibility among casual fans, but I don't see total interest levels retunring to pre-Lance levels. It will not go back that far.

cycling's popularity is gradually increasing, as is soccer's.

Tour of California had their most successful iteration this past year.

A 2nd American sponsor is rumored to be going for the tour next year (slipstream?).
