Although Discovery is getting more buzz, both of those channels hold many gems that people miss. It took a while, but I finally finished the three-hour show and it was really well done.
I had to take Gore Vidal with a grain of salt, but they incorporated probably a dozen historians who each had written books on different aspects of his life and it was extremely interesting. Lincoln was a complex man with many problems, but provides a good inspiration. If you like non-fiction or history and you get a chance to watch it, don't pass it up. |

Lincoln was an amazing man. I didn't see all of the profile on the History Channel, but did see bits and pieces of it while trying to entertain my 3 year old.
I'm waiting for a repeat of it. It would definitely be worth seeing in it's entirety.
