The Status of the Greeks in Palestine at time of Christ
Militarily the Greeks were supplanted by Rome by the time of Christ. However, is it correct to analogize Greek culture at that time, as one might view French culture during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, whereas France was not militarily that important at the time, but all the courts seem to cater to French culture. Greek culture seems to have been of greater importance than French culture, but is that an accurate perspective?

Is this some sort of oblique reference to the fact that the Greeks were a bunch of boy humping homos?
As an aside I'm married to a Greek and thus am allowed to slur them. Call me Dr. Tim Whately.

Dredging up an old false plagiarism accusation against Stegner is bad enough. But this is fucking intolerable, you sheep humping poke. We're all Greeks, don't you know. If you're an American, your true forebears are Greeks. You slur yourself.

Be that as it may the fact remains the Greeks were fanatical pederasts. Are you suggesting I overlook the systematic abuse of children just because they came up with a few good ideas? Interesting.
