Fukashima: delayed response created crisis
I was speaking with someone who worked on nuclear subs. I asked him what he thought about Fukashima. His intuition suspects they engineers didn't want to kill the core, so they waited too long until the failsafes failed and then it was too late. Apparently, it's expensive and time consuming to restart once you kill the core, but it was the right thing to do.
