I need church in the mountains....
I find myself much more spiritually rejuvenated after a walk in the mountains than I do after three hours of church.
Me and the lady go at least one three hour hike a week and usually fit in a two to three hour hike during the week and a longer five to six hour one on the weekend. We've forgotten the camera the past couple of times, but I'll have someone post pictures of our hikes this week. Ogden is the prettiest town in Utah. The trail system is absolutely amazing, and the hikes are breathtaking and worthwhile. Anyone interested should hit me up and come up here, I know the trails like the back of my hand and love heading up the mountain. |

all this "hiking" will end 1 year into marriage. Trust me.

it will end 1 year in to marriage because of all the houses going up along the trails. But you may have a sweet tram up there. It reminds me of when Sprinfield got the monorail, I could see Fusnik singing the Ogden tram song.

I actually hiked/climbed where the gondola will go in, and where it will end this weekend. Beautiful hike, and beautiful terrain. |

Ogden can be pretty and has some cool views and neighborhoods but I wouldn't go so far as to say the prettiest...
Salt Lake and Provo both have beautiful backdrops and some of the towns in S. Utah are amazing. One part of Ogden that I think gets overlooked is the neighborhoods NE of WSU. It reminds me of the Avenues in SLC. If Mrs. Hippie gets her way we'll end up in N. Utah. She would love Logan, I'd prefer Davis Co but we could both be happy in Ogden or something close to Ogden (assuming they finish that commuter rail).

The mountains up and down the Wasatch Front are rather bland and not pretty. The Ogden mountains are absolutely stunning. |

i agree there.. Heber is fantastic.. SLC has THE best backdrop of the 3 wasatch front metros.. by far.. then Provo (Timp is amazing... not as cool as from the Heber side, but amazing nonetheless) then Ogden..
