Default You have to admire the desire for freedom

from bondage, even if the price is sometimes death.

Escaped circus elephant, struck by bus north of Mexico City.

Does this mean you support the Iraq war?

That's a lot of meat. I hope they didn't let it go to waste.

I can't imagine what my brain would go through if I were to be driving down the local highway one night, and suddenly see an elephant dart in front of me.

Reminds me of a BBC automobile show where the hosts did crazy things. On one show they "crossed the pond" to try out real life in the American South. They bought old beater cars in Florida and traveled across Alabama and Mississippi to New Orleans. One of their tasks was to eat roadkill. They chose a bloated cow they found along the way.

Stupid Brits, bloated cow is even below armadillo on the roadkill hierarchy.

If driving a bus, you step on the gas.

That's hilarious. It was a bus that hit the elephant, and the driver died. Maybe you should repeat your joke to the widow and his children. Take your golden retriever with you when you do it.

I apologize and ask that you delete that offending post.

Off topic, but I was curious about the story, so I googled "Elephant Killed", figuring it would come up in the news pretty easily. Google refused to provide anything to me because "your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application".

That's never happened to me before.
