question about the format
A question about the format...
Titles are almost invisible to the eye, even though they are used to begin the post. Is that just my settings? Are there chat options? Lastly, it's hard to keep up on all the different topics and see which are more active and being checked, etc. with so many categories. What's the feeling on having fewer partitions between boards/subjects, or further, just having one main board? Just curious to hear the rationale, etc. |

i'll have to look into these things.
One thing is: don't post on the subject line if you are replying. No subject is required. |

ohioblue, are you aware that when you log in, you can see colored icons telling you where posts are that you haven't read yet?
Also you can click on the link in the top right corner, says something like "new posts since my last visit". Each format has its pluses and minuses. This format lends to slower activity and less turnover (versus CB) which in the case of what I think we are trying to do here, is preferable. But I am open to further suggestions. If we can raise enough money, we might switch to vbulletin software which would preserve our archive and give us a lot more options. |
