Obama needs to work on his facial expressions
And who the hell does he keep pointing at? Is he getting coached from the crowd?

People underestimate McCain to some extent. Sure, McCain is not a strong debater in a traditional sense, but he's very good at taking a difficult topic and steering it toward something that plays to his strengths, then phrasing his answers in terms that regular people understand and identify with. |

A few "keys to the debate" from the CNN pre-show team:
Obama: -Don't talk to the general public like a Yale professor -Don't be sarcastic; the average viewer tonight will be listening to you for the first time and won't be familiar enough with your position to know whether you are not being serious -Donn't be gun shy McCain: -No senior moments -No anger moments -Don't attempt to compete with Obama's sharp tongue; speak to the people the same way you have for decades. |

New drinking game:
a shot everytime McCain says "I was not elected Miss Congeniality" "800 *billion* dollars in new spending" or "gates of hell" double if he says "my friends." . |

The tide has shifted now that we're on Iraq. McCain is making Obama look like like an idiot on Iraq. The fact that he had to bring up his VP was a huge blow.

and why can't Obama get off the "we shouldn't have gone in" shtick. So what? McCain is dead on that the next President has to deal with it as it is now ...
