This is what I'm talking about BYU over Texas

I'm not qualified to judge what's offensive to Texas fans.

That was a well-executed PR job by Bronco! Tell the national sports media we want in on the Big 12. And then the national media interprets our victory within that framework.

Texas DL was nails in the first half. Had me worried. I was afraid we were one big play from being down 7-6 in the 2nd half and then who knew where the game would go.
That first drive was huge. Just run the ball, punch them in the mouth, grab their ballsacks and make them squeal. Really one of the great drives we have seen, in a very important moment, at BYU in years. When Hill flew into the sky like a bird and scored, everyone had the sense that the game was over. And it was. Worst loss by Texas at home in 17 years. Statement win. According to the ESPN power index, we have the greatest chance among all teams of finishing out undefeated. 20% chance. Could be a special season (knock on wood). |

There are plenty of potential landmines, but no obviously terrible opponents. UH is not to be overlooked, but should be manageable this year. UVa is one that has a defense, but not much of an offense. Boise is not as strong as usual, but always dangerous on the Smurf Turf. Nevada is coming to Provo, but is doing well so far. Utah State doesn't usually do well in Provo and UTenn made them look less than before. Cal is undefeated. We'll see how long that lasts, but it is an away game with PAC 12 refs. UCF should be better but certainly has looked human. The remaining teams, I'm not even sure of their names. And yet this team is better in important areas.
