I'm compiling a list of "must see"
classic films from which students can select (and then do a report).
What films do you think belong on such a list? (I have my ideas, but I want the list to be pretty comprehensive)

It's a course that broadly surveys media. They'll be writing about these films from a "historical-cultural" framework.

Philadelphia Story
Airplane--seriously, when you think of all of those films that came out of that, well, its pretty remarkable. The Thin Man (the original of that series)--mysteries, love, etc. |
