What is the longest amount of time...
that everyone has gone between paying to see a movie? I'd have to really think about it, but the last time I went to a movie was probably 4 years ago, perhaps longer. I think most of what Hollywood puts out is garbage and I don't want to waste my money on it. That and the fact that I vehemently disagree with most everyone involved in Hollywood when it comes to politics causes me to not support them financially.
When I was younger, the content of movies didn't bother me at all. Perhaps my tolerance for what is or isn't acceptable in my life changed when I had kids. I don't have a problem with others who choose to be entertained in that way. For me, it's a personal choice.

Once a year, whether I need it or not.
I have seen the Lord of the Rings movies at the theatre, but I believe that is it. The politics in Hollywood drive me crazy, but honestly it is more of the small child factor that keeps me away from the movies. When my wife and I get away for the night, we usually prefer to do something where we can actually converse with each other and not do "kid talk". |

It's been a long time since I walked out of a theater and felt entertained. I enjoy a comedy once in a while but the big budget action flicks just don't do it for me like they used to. Probably the last big budget movie that I enjoyed from start to finish was Gladiator.
