Default Casino Royale (no spoilers)

Daniel Craig is just dynamite in this film. After you see this film, you can't help but think that Piers Brosnan is a parody of Bond. The effete version.

The script is serviceable, the action is good, but the Bond that Craig presents is distinct and interesting.

Worth a matinee for sho.

On the recommendation of many, I saw the film yesterday and liked it. I felt like it was more of a throwback to the old school Bonds than the Pierce Brosnan ones. Not a whole lot of emphasis on gadgets, just Bond being Bond.

I will say that I thought that the film was going to end three or four times before it actually did, although every time I kept saying to myself "This isn't how a Bond film would end... something is up."

I would certainly recommend it. I liked it.

My favorite Bond films prior to this one: Goldfinger and Thunderball.

Many critics are saying this is the best since those, and I wouldn't disagree.

The Brosnan films are so forgettable. I remember the one where he drove on ice. How stupid was that? It was getting to the point that Matt Damon was Bond (Bourne Identity) and Pierce Brosnan was Austin Powers.

Brosnan is not an entirely bad actor. The Matador was pretty good. He's just not the right dude to be Bond. But who is? (besides Daniel Craig)

I like the Bond movies, but I can't imagine that I'd like this as much as the original Casino Royale with Peter Sellers as Bond and Woody Allen as the surprise evil bad guy.

If you haven't seen this one, I highly recommend it.

Saw Csino Royale tongiht. Excellent movie. I highly recommend it. It is the best Bond Movie I have seen as an adult. Only Sean Connery is as good as Bond> Daniel Craig, while a bit homely, is a GREAT Bond. If yopu have ever thought about seeing a Bond movie, make sure you see this one.

I agree with everyone here. Casino Royale was the best Bond movie in sometime. Craig was a great bond, and yes now seeing him in the role of 007, Brosnan looks like a joke.

They've finally hit upon the right Bond. Now I still believe the movie could have been edited more tightly.

Yet, Daniel Craig has the right amount of self-confidence, yet ruggedness fro the role.

If by this you mean they could have cut the eye gazing between Vesper and Bond in half, I agree.

Otherwise, I thought it was good. And I loved the ending. Much better than the typical Bond ending.

I agree with Archaea. It was too long. One more trip to the editing room, perhaps.

Also, Bond isn't hot enough. (Although I don't think Archaea said that.)

I did. I thought he was too huckery (a Kiwi term meaning ugly). But he was fit enough and otherwsie pulled it off perfectly.
