Obama the smokestack
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081207/...bama_smoking_3
I can't think of a single friend or acquaintance I have that smokes. In fact it is so rare for me to encounter a smoker in my personal or professional life, that when it occurs, I have been mildly shocked. Like the world-class researcher I know (old guy) who smokes. Ok, now that I think about it a bit more, there is one person I know who is reasonably close to me, who smokes. But for an ivy leaguer in his 40s to smoke? Strange. It's a valuable window into his person. It reveals. |

I do not associate knowingly with smokers. It shows such poor taste and judgment to be smoking in the 21st Century.

I personally fell in love with Obama at the 2004 convention. I learned he was a smoker in early 2006, before he declared his candidacy. That was when I stopped being in love with him. I agree it's odd and does make you question his judgment. But I feel like a smoking bigot when I say that.
As an aside, I tried to commandeer my siblings' primary votes to the extent that I could, and telling my brother that Obama was a smoker is what got him to vote for Hillary. |

He should take up Cigars
Cigars are much more becoming of the Office of the Presidency. Especially the Oval Office.
