Heard that current/former CGer just called as bishop
I say former because he hasn't posted in a long time, but he has definitely posted after the CG junta.
My impression of friends that are now or have been bishops is that they go into a kind of incommunicado. They scale back or stop social media. Part of being responsible and not offending anyone I guess. Can't have anymore hot sports opinions. |

Two of my mission friends have been bishops (one current, one former). Childhood friend my age was a bishop ten years ago. Of course the CGer I mentioned before just called. Another college friend was called as bishop maybe three years ago. There may be others, I'm just not in the know about what they are doing in the church.
An acquaintance from my mission (more in touch with his wife than him) has been a stake president. Either emeritus or in the last bit of it. I'm probably forgetting a couple more. |
