If I had to vote for President today
I would vote for Bob Barr.
Personally, today, I don't think whether you vote for McCain or Obama, that it really matters. You will get essentially the same thing. I don't think I like Bob Barr much as a person or a politician, but at least he is not the establishment. |

I don't care if someone wants to vote 3rd party, but this ranks in the top 5 of ignorant statements made on CG.

McCain did a heroic thing in declining to leave the prison, because he was a man of privilege and influence (through no doing of his own, he was born into it).
But frankly, I don't see getting shot down and imprisoned as being more heroic than any of the guys that risked it all on the front line. I met a guy, African-Am guy, who in Vietnam was the smallest guy in his unit. So he was always the one that had to investigate tunnels and such. That guy is a hero. But you'll never hear anyone say anything about it. |
