Toledo
Will BYU pull its collective head out, or will it sink the season by losing to Toledo?
I don't believe this is a horrible team, but one that has become accustomed to losing. Hill is not a winning type QB. He works hard, throws his body around but is a mediocre passing QB. Once a team starts losing that often seems to be its character. It doesn't know how to win. Next week will be unwinnable. This week is essential.

If they start Hill I don't think I can root for them. Because the way forward is for him to sit on the bench. And that's not going to happen until the results are so bad that there is no other choice.

They will lose to Michigan State, Boise State, Mississippi State and possibly Cincinnati. It will be so disastrous for the program we won't recover. So much fanfare for a coaching staff but so little to show for it.

You don't hire a completely inexperienced staff and expect good results. But BYU is cheap. Loyalty to underperforming players is a bad thing.

Sitake needs to learn what it is like to be booed by all the fans at LES. Maybe it will humble him. It better. Or he won't last long in this business.

Our team will get smoked by Michigan State. With Pau'u out and Troy Warner out, our lack of depth will show.

BYU eeks out a victory, giving up a huge number of big plays.
BYU will likely lose two out of the next three, with it possibly losing three out of three. I don't see how BYU's banged up defense can hold either MSU or BSU. Sitake just isn't getting it done on defense.

What an insult to have the color guy (Mack Brown) leave the booth in the middle due to other ESPN priorities. Wow, I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Hill looked very mediocre against a defense that was spectacularly awful. That had defensive lineman that looked like they weighed 200 pounds. On a night with a historic rushing performance, never before seen in BYU history. And Hill still sucked. Yeah, I know, he hit some wide open guys, and he hit a bomb. But it's really still awful and he will get drilled against better teams.
Barely beating a MAC team at home is cause for celebration. That's what this crappy program has come to. |
