One thing I do not like about that blog is the moderation. It hasn't affected me personally posting anything. Maybe I've posted twice in comments, and I don't think I was ever moderated.
But they are like cougarboard. They heavily moderate. Very high-horse. In fact, they may actually be moderating more than cougarboard. CB might actually have more intellectual freedom. |

It's hard to tell exactly, since we don't see the posts that they censor. But Evans will often post something about how he won't allow certain things to be discussed or won't allow comments to go in a certain direction.
It's like goatnapper used to say. There are some sites where the few people get the big print, and the other people get their words in little print, or no print. BCC is like that. It's not a place to actually discuss things. It's a a heavily moderated blog. You just have to know that going in. I'm well aware of the difficulties in balancing freedom vs. vision of what you want a site to be. It's not easy. |
