The idiots at the NY Times argue for gun control
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/11/op...?_r=1&src=dayp
Honestly, I don't have the energy to address this. At least right now. There are no laws that can prevent all deranged people from committing terrible acts of violence without the effect being the loss of our liberties. What if he had made a homemade bomb? Are we going to ban fertilizer? What if he had burned down a hotel? Are we going to ban gasoline? I hate these people that would rob us of our liberties, that see us vassals of the state. A state they control as the wise liberals who know more than us riff-raff. The citizenry of this nation is the last refuge against despots, and we must never give up the ability to resist.....for those of you that think this is crazy talk, I say look at the rest of the freaking world and tell me how much liberty is out there? How many billions of people, right now, languish under corrupt leaders and have little say in how they are governed? The nature of this world is for despots to rule, not for freedoms to exist. What we have is unique and more valuable than about anything. People who do not guard against tyrrany are fated to live under it. Security for liberty. The false trade that is always extended to fools. |

Where's the moral outrage caused by DUI's?
I don't see the left campaigning for elimination of alcohol.
